A Swiss family-owned business manufactures high-precision, complex machine components and uses a Hänel Lean-Lift® right in the production area to supply tools centrally. Measuring seven meters in height, the vertical lift system stores tools, equipment, and measuring devices in a space-saving, clearly arranged, and protected environment.

Clear structure, ergonomic access, and high availability

The Lean-Lift® high-speed model organizes tools in a clearly-structured manner and supplies them without delay to the individual machining centers. Simple, ergonomic access is ensured thanks to the automatic availability of tools. What’s more, the containers are fitted with folding support rails, allowing them to be pulled out easily from the access point. Even heavy tools and equipment can be compactly and transparently stored in the containers thanks to a load-bearing capacity of up to 500 kg combined with the Hänel space-saving pitch.

Visual documentation and targeted selection of tools directly at the lift controller

Hänel PictureControl seamlessly documents all storage transactions. A camera integrated in the access point records the current container status every time storage and retrieval operations are performed. The saved images appear directly on the display of the MP14N lift controller. Employees can therefore immediately identify the storage status and specifically select the required tool. Together with integrated article management and user-based access codes, the end result is a secure and transparent solution for storing valuable tools.
